A rare catch, a monkey slug caterpillar – Phobetron Pithecium – oruga cola de mono on a coffee leaf. There are in the reserve some wild coffee bushes living in the shade of the forest. So many diffrent caterpillars and more easy to photograph that a butterfly. Normally I take the time to look for the proper name, latin o common name of the insect or plant I photograph. But lately I find it unnecessary, it is just a collection of images I shot inside the reserva el Tunjo. I want to give an idea how much biodiversity a small piece of land, less than 10 000 sqm, can produce.

Las polillas son un buen indicador de la vitalidad de un ecosistema salvaje.

Artificial lights make them crazy but moths are also very sensitive to agrochemicals.

Ces photos de papillons de nuit sont les illustrations de la réussite de mon travail de gardien de la réserve El Tunjo.
